The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the only internationally recognised proof of full-time student status issued in over 130 countries. The card allows you to prove your student status worldwide, as well as gain access to discounts and benefits in over 125,000 locations. The ISIC is available to full time students at school, college or university, aged 12 years and above.

ITIC – International Teacher Identity Card

The International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) is available to fulltime teachers or professors. The ITIC card gives you access to many of the same benefits and discounts as the ISIC card. Each ITIC card is valid for up to 16 months, starting on 1 September.You can order your card online or by visiting your nearest ITIC issuing office.

HISTORY

The ISIC card was first created by students for students in 1953. The decision to create the ISIC card was an initiative of the Norwegian and Dutch Union of Students. Originally the ISIC card was a student identity card that gave fulltime students world access to special discounted airfares.

Public transport

ISIC card is accepted by Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science as student status verification.
This means that you can get 80% discount on your monthly public transportation ticket, 50% discount on your daily transportation ticket, 50% discount on bus tickets on domestic routes and on train tickets.
